The Alzheimer Society of Ireland increases capacity in Cairdeas Daycare Centre

The Alzheimer Society of Ireland (The ASI) has increased capacity for people living with Dementia, and their families at the Cairdeas Daycare Centre.

The centre has been in operation for 20 years in Raheny.

Cairdeas opens Monday -Friday, 09.30 am – 3.30 pm. The areas it covers include Coolock, Darndale, Donnycarney, Edenmore, Raheny, Artane, Portmarnock. Donaghmede, Howth, and Clontarf.

Daycare Centre Manager at Cairdeas, Maeve Quigley said: “We provide person-centred care for all our beautiful clients in a warm, relaxed and welcoming environment.

“We strive, at all times, to deliver the highest standards of care in a friendly setting. We take great pride in the service we deliver to our wonderful clients and families”.

Throughout their day at the centre, staff provide hands-on activities and a range of therapeutic stimulation activities for clients.

There are an estimated  16,967 people living with dementia in Dublin, with over 50,900 carers, so it’s vital that we continue to maintain, and enhance, these key support services.
