Dublin City Council is inviting feedback from residents, local businesses and members of the public on the recent traffic management measures which saw Capel St made traffic-free.

This public consultation period will remain open from today for a period of four weeks.

Since the street was made traffic-free, there has been a 12 percent increase in pedestrian numbers and a 20 percent increase in cyclists, the council says.

Members of the public are invited to express their views by visiting https://consultation.dublincity.ie/traffic-and-transport/feedback-on-traffic-free-capel-street/

This initiative was planned and implemented by the Traffic Department in Dublin City Council.
