Local Rotary welcomes new President

This week the Fingal Dublin Rotary Club welcomed their newly elected president into office.

Long-time North County Dublin resident Bill Kee received the chains of office from past president David Normoyle at a special dinner at the Maldron Hotel at Dublin Airport.

Well known Bill, a former resident of Lusk for some 34 years and now resident of Skerries for the last six years said was delighted and honoured to be elected to the position by his peers in the club.

In fact, this is the second time Bill has had the privilege to hold this position.

Bill who has been a member of club for 30 years was first elected to be president back in 2001.

Bill is the first member of the club to hold the presidency twice.

Bill and his wife Cora are active members of their community with Bill being a member of Skerries Bowling Club.

He is also a former chairman of the bowling club.

Bill’s wife, Cora is a past lady captain of Beaverstown Golf Club.

Members of the Fingal Dublin Rotary Club are predominately local businesspeople from the North Dublin and Fingal area.

Their business’s range from small and medium sized organisations with many being self- employed individuals. Or indeed, some members are employees of larger businesses.

Club members meet every Monday for lunch at the Maldron Hotel at Dublin airport.

For those who cannot attend in person they can join via zoom.

The club offers members an opportunity to make new friends and meet likeminded business people.

Members also use their business skills to help others in the community.
