Investigation underway after discovery of woman’s body in Malahide

An investigation is underway following the discovery of a woman’s body at an apartment in Malahide this morning.

The body of a woman in her 30s was found at an apartment shortly before 6am, in the Waterside Drive area of Malahide.

Gardai now await the results of a post mortem which will determine the course of their investigation.

In a statement to Northside People, a spokesperson for An Garda Siochana said:

“Gardaí are investigating all the circumstances surrounding the death of a woman, aged in her 30s, at an apartment in the Waterside Drive area of Malahide that occurred on 22/09/2020 at approximately 5:45am.

“Gardaí and emergency services attended.

“The woman was pronounced dead at the scene.

“A post mortem will determine the course of the Garda investigation.

“Investigations are ongoing.”
