Sinn Féin win seats in every Northside constituency

SINN Féin candidates romped home in every Northside constituency in last weekend’s general election.

In Dublin Bay North, Denise Mitchell secured a staggering 21,344 votes.

Dessie Ellis retained his seat in Dublin North West, with 14,375 votes.

In Dublin Fingal, Louise O’Reilly had a very impressive performance with 15,792 votes.

As expected, party leader Mary Lou McDonald topped the poll in Dublin Central with 11,223 votes.

In Dublin West, Paul Donnelly was elected with 12,456 votes.

Elsewhere, the party took two seats in Dublin Mid-West, while Dún Laoghaire is now the only constituency in the capital without a Sinn Féin TD.
