Old appliances recycled for a good cause

A NORTHSIDE company has raised €700 from recycling their clients’ old kitchen appliances.

Kitchens4u.ie in Baldoyle Industrial Estate raised the money by recycling old ovens, hobs, dishwashers and washing machines from their clients’ homes after carrying out kitchen works.
Amanda Browning, managing director of Kitchens4u.ie said: “Over the last 12 months we have taken old metal appliances, excluding fridges, to the metal recycling plant at St Margaret’s Recycling.
“This killed two birds with one stone as to say, the old appliances were disposed of in a proper manner and we also raised a substantial amount of money in the process. Amanda said the money raised is being donated to the local Coolock group, ‘A Helping Hand’, which provides much needed meals to homeless people and families in need.
“We are planning to keep this initiative going in 2020 and we hope to raise much, much more,” she added.
“Also, we want to wish Kiera and all the gang at ‘A Helping Hand’ the very best for the great work that they do.”
