Northsider Kate wins Rising Star business award

A NORTHSIDE woman was celebrating last week after winning a top business award.

Kate O’Moore, from Baldoyle, creative director and founder of MAKER, was awarded the 2019 ‘Rising Star’ Award from Dublin City’s Local Enterprise for her branding and graphic design studio.
The award was granted for Kate’s impressive business performance and continuous development of services and investment in her business.
“I am delighted to be awarded the Rising Star, it gives a lift to my ever-growing business and gives me a huge sense of achievement and enthusiasm for what’s to come in 2020 for MAKER,” said Kate.
Ms O’Moore was also shortlisted earlier in the year as ‘Entrepreneur of the Year’ with IMAGE Magazine.
"This year has been incredible for really finding my stride in being an entrepreneur and I am thoroughly enjoying the journey."
The Women in Business Network (WIBN) LEO Dublin City, who hosted the awards, is a great support to female entrepreneurs looking to start or grow their businesses.
Kate intends to expand in 2020 building up the consultancy and workshop side to her business as an expert on branding and graphic design.
MAKER is a branding and graphic design studio that brings brands to life through creative graphic design in digital and print. The company is based in the Fumbally Exchange, a collaborative creative community in Dublin 8.
