YOUNG people from youth clubs across Dublin were honoured at an event that celebrates creativity, innovation and inventions.

Zuzanna Pietuszynska, from Foroige North East Inner City Club, was among those to win an award at the 2019 ESB Creative Tech Fest held recently in the Convention Centre, Dublin.

ESB Creative Tech Fest is the annual celebration of the creativity, innovation and inventions of young people who participate in TechSpace STEAM and Digital Creativity programmes across Ireland.

Zuzanna won an award for her creative computer science project, ‘Mr. Air Is Here Part 2’.

Over 500 people, aged between 10 and 18, from 50 youth groups across Ireland, attended this year’s event. The awards, hosted by Jess Kelly of Tech Talk on Newstalk, honoured 17 winners in the areas of Creative Computer Science, Digital Creativity and STEAM.

Pat O’Doherty, chief executive of ESB, commended the projects on display.

“ESB is very proud of our partnership with TechSpace, who are one of a number of organisations that ESB support as part of our Generation Tomorrow STEAM Education programme,” said O’Doherty.
