Northsiders perform brilliant All-Ireland final song

This could be the definitive anthem in Croke Park on All-Ireland final day as the boys in blue aim for an incredible five in a row in what will be a fiercely contested battle with Kerry.

Drawing its inspiration from Billy Joel’s hit song, ‘We Didn’t Start the Fire (For Sam Maguire)’ was written by Dominic Branigan – originally a Kerryman but who has lived in Dublin his whole life. Dominic says he wrote the words as a tribute to the players, managers and supporters of the Dublin and Kerry football teams from 1974 to 2019.

The song is performed by Ciaran Kilbride, from Donnycarney, and Donabate man Denis Cahill, who are collectively known as Scarlet Avenue.
