AN EXHIBITION celebrating the life of legendary politician Tony Gregory opened last week.

A household name in Dublin, the late Independent TD struck the famous ‘Gregory deal’ with then Taoiseach Charlie Haughey in 1982 which led to improved housing conditions and support for people living in the city.
This year is the 10th anniversary of his death. To mark the occasion, the Gregory Group have organised an exhibition, which was launched last week in the Charleville Mall Library in North Strand.
The exhibition is now running until Friday, September 27.
The photo on the left, featuring Tony Gregory with a Moore Street trader, was taken by Darren Kinsella in 2006. Gregory was a renowned champion of Dublin’s street traders.
