SIX-year old Robyn Miele showed that Girl Power is alive and well on the Northside when she attended Spice World 2019 in Croke Park.

The Belmayne youngster set social media alight when Northside People posted a Facebook video showing her impressive dance moves at the Spice Girls’ concert.

Even at her young age, Robyn is a seasoned gig goer and has been to see Olly Murs and a number of ‘X Factor’ shows. She is a member of two stage schools – Gotta Dance in Raheny and Sean Gilligan’s in Artane.

Her mother, Rachel, knew that Robyn would enjoy the Spice Girls and was lucky enough to secure a pair of tickets for the Croker show, which kicked off the popular girl band’s first world tour in decades.

“I made a playlist for her on the iPad so she would be familiar with the songs before the concert and she absolutely loved them,” Rachel explained, admitting that she was never a big fan of the Spice Girls herself. “She loved watching their videos – she thought they were all really wild. Baby Spice is her favourite.”

Rachel added: “There aren’t as many girl bands around these days so I had a feeling that she’d really enjoy the Spice Girls.”

Robyn seemed to be one of the youngest fans in attendance that night.

“Everyone at the concert made a big fuss of her – it was amazing,” she recalled. “The highlight for me was when the girls performed their hit song, ‘Mama’, and Robyn turned to me and sang all the words and did the heart gesture. That got a brilliant reaction from the crowd.”

Robyn has been overwhelmed by the social media reaction to the video of her dancing at the concert (visit www.facebook.com/northsidepeople) and has been telling all her classmates at Scoil Bhríde in Donaghmede about her experience.
