Rathfarnham’s Miss Ireland finalist Dani goes international

A FORMER Miss Ireland finalist from the Southside has scooped a major international title.

Danielle Masterson, from Rathfarnham, has been crowned Miss Elegance of the World 2019 and will now be competing internationally at the Miss Global United States event in Florida in July.

Actor and reality star Dani has graced our screens on E4’s Coach Trip Road to Marbs and TG4’s Great War Diaries. 

“I got into competing when I was 17,” Dani explained. “Acting is my career but competing gives me a different rush. It is a completely different challenge as I’m not playing a character but being myself on stage.

“When I started out, I never thought I would still be able to compete over 13 years later. Things are definitely changing in the world of pageantry.

“I feel pageants are certainly still relevant,” Dani added, “as most pageants are changing, along with the times.”

The overall winner of the Miss Global pageant receives over $20,000 in gifts and prizes.
