Lir make a welcome return with Dublin gig this week
Dublin People 05 Feb 2019
CRITICALLY acclaimed Dublin band, Lir, make a highly anticipated return to the live scene this week with a very special gig in Whelan’s of Wexford Street on Friday, February 8.

Presented by NETGIGS, the show can be streamed from anywhere in the world in real-time on any internet device for just €10. The new online streaming platform connects bands and live performers to their audiences, in high definition video and audio quality.
The band will perform their first album, ‘Magico Magico!’, in its entirety for the first time. Ex-member David Hopkins will be flying in from the States especially for the performance. Special guest on the night will be Ken Rice, who played violin on the album tracks.
In their early 1990s heyday, the band built a solid reputation on the live music scene, particularly in Dublin.
Following the release of ‘Magico Magico‘ and the hit single ‘In a Day’, Lir signed to US label ‘WAR’ and based themselves in the States for a number of years, touring North America relentlessly. The tour for the follow-up album, ‘Nest’, was also met with rave reviews across the USA.
Tickets are available for this week’s show via lirband.com and Whelanslive.com
