A NORTHSIDE shop is celebrating after selling two winning lottery tickets in one day.
Circle K in Clonshaugh sold the two winning tickets on January 25 in the Daily Millions Plus draw totalling €500,000.
Each of the winning tickets are worth €250,000.
The winning numbers were 5, 14, 17, 24, 26, 37 and the bonus number 6.
One of the winners came forward to collect his cheque for €250,000 at National Lottery Headquarters last Friday. The delighted Dubliner said he hopes to buy a new car with his winnings.
Staff at Circle K were thrilled that two of their customers will share the mega win.
A spokesperson for the National Lottery said: “It is very unusual for the same shop to sell two tickets with the same numbers and for them to win a big prize.
“Dublin is fast becoming a very lucky Daily Million county, after the top prize in the game (€1 million) has been won three times by Dubliners in the last 12 months.
“This is great news for our players in the capital and we are delighted for the winners and urge all our players to check their numbers.”
