Finalists announced for Northside People Community & Sports Awards 2018

We are delighted to announce the shortlisted nominees for the Northside People Community and Sports Awards 2018.
There are 10 categories across sport and community in total, with an award for the winner of each one – as nominated by our readers and voted on by our panel of judges. In addition, there will be an overall Sports Award and Community Award selected from the category winners.
The shortlisted nominees below will be invited to a gala awards ceremony in the Carlton Hotel at Dublin Airport on November 30. We are delighted to announce that popular ‘Liveline’ host, Joe Duffy, will be again MC on the night.
The shortlisted nominees in each category are as follows:

Nominees will be given two complimentary tickets each for the gala awards evening in the Carlton Hotel, which includes a drinks reception, three-course meal and entertainment. Additional tickets can be bought at a cost of €60 each. Click here to purchase.

The four judges on the panel are: Tony McCullagh, group editor, Dublin People; Marion Browne, Principal Sports Development Officer, Fingal County Council; Laura Dowdall, Viking Theatre, Clontarf; and Anthony Cooney, chief executive of Dublin Fingal Chamber.
Conor Mahon, general manager of Dublin People Group, congratulated the shortlisted nominees and thanked the sponsors for supporting the awards.
“This is the second year of the awards and we are really looking forward to once again honouring the achievement of all these great ambassadors for the Northside of Dublin,” he said.
