CEOL 2018 le hEoghan McDermott, a compilation of some of the biggest songs of this year recorded by their original artists as Gaeilge, has arrived in schools throughoutthe country.

To help celebrate the delivery of the albums Swords natives Kodaline surprised their local school, Loreto College, by dropping in to distribute the albums themselves.

Every school is to receive a copy of the album and a competition is currently running for the best photographs shared with the hashtag #CEOL2018.

Winners will receive a copy of the album along with tickets to a Picture This 2019 show, plus a meet and greet.

Peter McNamara, Principal at Loreto College, Swords, said: “The reaction from the students in Loreto Swords, and previously to all tracks released on RTÉ 2FM, to the album has been phenomenal. It’s an amazing initiative that really inspires an interest in the Irish language within and outside of the classroom. I’d like to thank Kodaline for launching the CD in Loreto, Eoghan McDermott for his encouraging words regarding the use of the Irish language and Conradh na Gaeilge for joining us.”
