ered at Bremore Castle in Balbriggan to watch Sifu Keith Fanning 9th Dan, from local club Blue Dragon Iron Fist, break 204 concrete roofing tiles in an amazing 50.17 seconds.

Keith’s mammoth challenge was held to coincide with the WBA Irish Breaking Championships, which will be held at Castlelands Community Centre, Balbriggan on October 13.

Jake Prendergast, a friend of Keith’s and a member of the club, said the world record event went extremely well.

“Keith was trained by his father, Sifu Jon Fanning, at the age of four-years-old,” said Jake.

“His world record was amazing but it’s just a little taste of what is coming to Ireland on October 13. Keith will be hosting a World Championship Breaking competition for the first time ever held in Ireland. People are coming from across the globe to compete in the event.

“Blue Dragon Iron Fitness in Balbriggan caters for young and old. Our youngest member is three-years-old and our oldest is 77-year-old black sash Sean.

“Also, Sifu recently did free women's self-defence classes to empower the women of Balbriggan.”
