Village centre’s strategic plan is launched locally

MINISTER for Education and Skills Richard Bruton visited Darndale Belcamp Village Centre (DBVC) recently to launch the organisation’s new Strategic Plan for 2018–2021.
Nicko Murphy, Public Relations and Quality Manager, who led the event, delivered a speech thanking funders of the organisation, Pobal, the Department of Rural and Community Development, the HSE, Dublin City Council and Inner City Enterprise.
Mr Murphy also thanked everyone who assisted DBVC to develop the plan including service providers, community members, service users and other stakeholders. Minister Bruton spoke about the resilience and achievements of Darndale Belcamp Village Centre. He also commended the board of directors and DBVC staff for their work in making the community a better place to live.
Minister Bruton then officially launched the 2018-2021 Strategic Plan.
Cepta Dowling, chairperson of the board of Darndale Belcamp Village Centre CLG, delivered a speech, thanking everyone involved in the development and implementation of the organisation’s Strategic Plan and for their hard work over the previous 12 months as outlined in the 2017 Annual Report.
Ms Dowling explained the overall aims and objectives for the next three years and how DBVC CLG intends to improve and further develop its services to address the needs within the Darndale Belcamp area.
