Clontarf t-shirts a hit with The Rolling Stones

NOT every clothing company can boast of world-famous rock stars wearing their products.

When The Rolling Stones played Dublin, guitarist Ronnie Wood (pictured) was wearing a show-stopping green t-shirt by a young Irish brand, Tonn, who are based in Clontarf. 

The legendary band’s stylist has chosen six of the company’s t-shirts for their ‘No Filter’ tour.

 Tonn, which is Irish for wave, is a fashion brand that sells a range of organic cotton t-shirts and sweatshirts with distinctive vintage style graphics and colours. Every t-shirt tells a story, whether it’s about the Irish creatures found off the Wild Atlantic Way or repeat wave patterns from a 400BC carved stone found in the Irish National Museum. 

 Tonn started in the summer of 2016 with just two markets, Japan and Ireland. But their distinctive vintage style with a Celtic twist has quickly spread far and wide and gained some celebrity backing, including actor Kyle MacLachlan and golfing hero Rafa Cabrera Bello.
