DUBLIN District Schoolboys’ League (DDSL) will host the inaugural DDSL Life Style Sports Friendship Cup which will take place at the FAI headquarters in Abbottstown on the May Bank Holiday weekend (May 4-6).

Celebrating its 75th anniversary this year, the DDSL is the biggest schoolboy league in Europe and has brought to Dublin a stellar line-up of the world’s biggest clubs including Liverpool, Manchester United, Chelsea, Bayern Munich and Ajax to compete against a DDSL league team over three days of Under-13 action.
DDSL chairman Paddy Dempsey is delighted with how preparations are going and the high calibre of teams competing in the cup.
“We are extremely happy with how preparations are coming along,” said Mr Dempsey.
“There is a lot of work going on in the background to make sure this weekend goes off without a glitch and that people remember it as one of the best run schoolboy competitions in the world.
“I want to take this chance to thank all of our sponsors who have come on-board to assist with preparations especially our title sponsor, Life Style Sports, and Aer Lingus, our Aviation Partners.
“We would also like to recognise our existing DDSL sponsors, The Herald, TopFlight and O’Neill’s for their continued support.
“The tournament has attracted some of the top clubs in Europe and we look forward to a weekend of top class football.”
The DDSL Life Style Sports Friendship Cup promises to be a fantastic event for all spectators. While watching some of the best young players from across Europe, who knows, you might even be lucky enough to see the next Robbie Keane!
Tickets cost €5 per person or €15 for a weekend pass. Family tickets are available for €35 (two adults and two kids – cost includes free programme). Tickets are available through your DDSL Club Secretary or on the day at the venue.
