Local woman wins award 

A NORTHSIDE women was celebrating recently after winning a national award.

Alison O’Reilly, from East Wall, won the Mum of the Year category at the Boots maternity & infant Awards held at the Royal Marine Hotel, Dún Laoghaire.

Sarah Walsh (Bababox), from the Navan Road, claimed the Business Parent of the Year award.

The awards, hosted this year by broadcaster Maura Derrane, recognise inspirational people and commends and celebrates the very best products for parents and babies in Ireland.

Gillian Hennessey, Head of Marketing at Boots Ireland, said: “The journey to becoming a parent is an exciting, yet daunting time and uniquely different for every Mum and Dad. 

“The People Awards are such a fantastic way to celebrate parents, as well as recognising all of the amazing people and unsung heroes around Ireland who are out there supporting them.
