Programme participants celebrate achievement
Dublin People 28 Oct 2017
MINISTER for Disabilities Finian McGrath visited Coolock last week to present achievement awards to participants of a project at a community addiction service.
The Rehabilitation and Support Programme (RASP) has been serving the community for over 25 years, formally in Belcamp Lane and more recently from their new premises at Ringard House, Greencastle Parade, and Malahide Road Industrial Estate.
RASP has been to the forefront in providing vital services and a number of programmes that support individuals in becoming drug-free.
The awards were presented to participants of these programmes.
Pat Hanna, manager of the centre, said these achievements are very important and should be celebrated, as they are the result of extreme effort on behalf of the participants.
“This is special day for our participants because we know what it has cost them to get this far,” said Mr Hanna.
“When people deal with their addictions they not only improve their own lives and the lives of their families but the whole community benefits.”
