With consistent attention to detail and dedication to high standards, PSLC Portmarnock Tennis Club is the first within Leinster to achieve this impressive status and pave the way for other clubs to come on board.

The Tennis Ireland Clubmark is the National Governing Bodies Club Accreditation Programme awarded at three levels (Bronze, Silver, Gold).

The Programme aims to identify, develop, accredit and recognise high quality tennis clubs and their contribution to the development of the sport in Ireland.

By achieving the Bronze level, it is a clear message to the community that the club has accomplished a recognised standard of quality and has addressed club development aspects in the areas of Facilities, Organisation & Management, Safety & Child Welfare, Play, Scoring & Competition, Workforce and Equality.

Tennis Ireland/Fingal County Council Regional Development Officer, Tara Congdon, said:

“It is a proud moment for the club and members and I would like to personally wish them a very special and deserved congratulations.

“This is a clear indication of the club’s commitment to nothing less than high standards and consistent progress.
