Lusk youngsters show off their talents at summer camp  

THE FAI’s summer camp in Lusk could not have got off to a better start with local soccer players displaying their talents in the exceptionally good weather last Monday week (July 17).

Peter Thompson of Lusk United AFC said:

“Every year in Lusk this FAI summer camp is a huge success and with the support of Fingal County Council in purchasing our new goalposts, this year has seen extra goalkeepers on the camp.  From two of our Under 9s wanting to be goalkeeper there is now 30, including the girls.

“We also have our very own Goalkeeping Academy every Monday now thanks to these additions to our facilities.

Mr Thompson said the camps are always a sell-out and they could hold them twice without a problem. 

“Now with our super Celtic International Academy Camp coming up in October, like last year, it will be a hugely successful event and of course, another sell-out,@ he added.

“The amount of fun these camps bring to our community is phenomenal, not to mention camaraderie and passion. Mr Thompson would like to thank everyone for their support.
