Volunteers needed for canals clean-up

WOULD you like to volunteer some of your time to clean up two of the capital’s iconic canals?

Dublin Canals Action Day will take place this Saturday, April 22 from 10.45am to 1pm all along the banks of the Royal and Grand Canals.

The Dublin City Canals Group is inviting volunteers both young, and not so young, to join them on the day to help clean up these two canals. Choose your starting point at: http://bit.ly/CanalMap.

All of the equipment will be provided. Just bring yourself and your energy!

Dublin City Council, the Inland Waterways Association of Ireland and Waterways Ireland together with local community groups and small local businesses are supporting the event which has been organised in tandem with An Taisce’s National Spring Clean.
