Gardaí appeal for witnesses after fatal collision in Skerries

GARDAÍ in Balbriggan are appealing for witnesses in relation to a fatal road traffic collision on Rush Road in Skerries in the early hours of this morning.

A woman in her 20s, who was a front seat passenger in a car, was fatally injured when the car she was travelling in crashed into a wall.

The driver, a man in his 20, and another female passenger in her late teens, were taken to Beaumont Hospital with serious injuries.

There were no other vehicles involved in the crash.

The R128 remains closed from Shenick Road,  Skerries, to Loughshinny Cross to facilitate Garda forensic collision investigators.
