THIS week marks the 30th anniversary of Northside People, which was first published on May 5, 1987. Here, we have compiled a list of 25 reasons why we’ve a lot to be proud of.

1. We have Croke Park.

2. We have Dublin Airport.

3. We have U2.

4. We have Dalymount Park, the spiritual home of Irish football.

5. We have Moore Street, one of the most celebrated streets in Ireland.

6. We have the GPO.

7. We have O’Connell Street, the country’s main thoroughfare.

8. We have St Anne’s Park.

9. We have Howth.

 

10. We have the biggest cemetery in Ireland (Glasnevin).

11. We have Malahide Castle.

 

12. We have the Met Office in Glasnevin, which means the Northside controls the weather.

13. We have the Phoenix Park.

14. We have the President’s gaff (Aras an Uachtaran).
