Man (18) arrested following stabbing in Clarehall yesterday morning

GARDAÍ in Coolock investigating a serious assault in Clarehall over the weekend have arrested an 18-year-old male.

A man (25) received serious stab injuries in the incident, which occured at Templeview Avenue, Clarehall, near Donaghmede, at 1.10am on November 1.

It occured following a public order incident involving a number of people.

The man was taken to Beaumont Hospital where his condition was described as serious. Two other males received minor injuries in the incident.

The scene was preserved for a technical examination.

The man arrested is being detained at Coolock Garda station under the provisions of Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984 as amended.

Gardaí are appealing for witnesses or anyone who may have any information to contact Coolock Garda station, the Garda Confidential line 1800-666-111 or any Garda station.
