Pedestrian in serious condition after being struck by car

GARDAÍ at Clontarf are appealing for witnesses following a road traffic collision at Annesley Bridge Road, Dublin 3, early this morning.

Shortly before 6.45am a female pedestrian, aged in her 20s, was struck by a car. The woman was removed from the scene by ambulance to the Mater Hospital and later transferred to Beaumont Hospital. Her condition is understood to be serious. The driver of the car was uninjured.

The scene was examined by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators and the road has since reopened to traffic.
