Opel gives green light for fifth-generation Corsa
Dublin People 25 Jul 2014The close-to-production fifth generation Corsa will feature the company’s most efficient engines, six speed transmission, refined steering and a newly developed chassis.

Since its launch in 1982, the Corsa It has been one of the leading cars in the B segment. There has been 12.3 million sold worldwide, with 11.7 of those sold in Europe.
Since 2007 over 16,000 Corsas have been sold In Ireland and the latest generation is anticipated to set the benchmark once again in the small car segment.
The new Corsa will feature Opel’s brand new 115hp 1.0-litre three-cylinder turbo engine with both Sport and Comfort chassis.
The three-cylinder turbo’s strengths include increased torque, reduced vehicle and noise generation – together with the all-new gearbox and chassis, top the list of highlights according to the Board and engineering team.
Initial feedback on the Corsa’s new engine has been very positive from media across Europe, and the huge leap made from the Corsa D to the Corsa E is clearly noticeable.
Opel Board Members including CEO Dr Karl-Thomas Neumann, Vice President Engineering Michael Ableson and Vice President Sales and Aftersales Peter Christian Küspert have given the Corsa their seal of approval.
