New Opel Vivaro: An elegant office on wheels

WITH more practical, efficient and appealing technologies than ever before, the stunning new Opel Vivaro is set to arrive in Ireland this September, priced from just

?¬21,995.

The Vivaro’s engine portfolio comprises an all-new 1.6 CDTi with 90hp or 115hp outputs, as well as the sophisticated 1.6 BiTurbo engine with sequential turbocharging and a twin-cooler system giving 120hp or 140hp. This offers reduced fuel consumption from as low as 5.7 litres per 100 kilometres, with CO2 emissions down to 149 g/km giving it best in class fuel economy.

Flexible, multi-purpose and well-equipped – the new Opel Vivaro can be configured to meet just about every Light Commercial Vehicle need.

Available in four body style variants, two roof heights and two body lengths which are both 216 millimetres longer than before. The new Vivaro’s total load volume for the panel van is also increased[.

There are three trim levels available, the entry

‘Edition’ level, premium

‘Sportive’ trim and

‘Essentia’ for Combi, the passenger Vivaro.

“The vehicle must be extremely versatile while also operate as a private people carrier. The new Opel Vivaro range offers the perfect solution to all these needs. It is an important part of our large product offensive and will considerably strengthen our position in the light commercial vehicle segment.

Striking a balance between performance and running costs isn’t a problem with the new Vivaro. With the optional FlexCargo bulkhead compartment, Vivaro can carry loads of up to 4150mm and has the minimum space for 8x4ft sheets and Euro pallets.

The payload capacity for the new Vivaro is 1281kg. The service interval on Vivaro has also been extended from one year to two years or 40,000kms. This helps the overall whole life costs of the Vivaro. Various other innovations have been introduced including a very useful convex mirror on the passenger visor that avoids blind spots.

All new Vivaro models are seriously well-equipped featuring standard items on ‘Edition’ such as day time running lights, Bluetooth connectivity, aux-in and USB, digital radio, electrically operated front windows and mirrors, six way lumbar support for driver convenience plus plenty of in-cabin storage options.
