Take the Honda Challenge for 142

HONDA will be showcasing their 142 range with a Honda Challenge test drive event in dealerships nationwide this June.

Honda are setting out to demonstrate that their award-winning Earth Dreams Technology can offer great savings to Irish buyers on their annual motoring costs.

The new 1.6 i-DTEC diesel with Earth Dreams Technology found in the updated Civic, new Civic Tourer and popular CR-V is winning over Irish drivers with an industry leading blend of driving pleasure and incredible real-world fuel economy.

Since the introduction of Earth Dreams Technology, Honda have won many awards and competitions for the incredible real-world fuel economy on offer, and the purpose of the Honda Challenge event is to show drivers just how much they could save by upgrading to a Honda.

What Car? magazine recently named the Civic the most fuel-efficient car tested in their stringent True Economy tests, while the CR-V also topped the same chart for SUVs.

Trusted motoring advice site Honest John recently named the Civic the winner of their 2014 real-world economy award based on actual economy data from over 50,000 motorists.

The Civic also finished first in class in a recent MPG Marathon competition with an incredible result of 3.3l/100km (85mpg). In addition, both Civic and CR-V returned highly impressive results on a Titanic Challenge between Cobh and Belfast with Fleet Car.

Speaking at the launch of Honda Challenge, Adrian Cole, Managing Director of Universal Honda Ltd, commented:
