THE fourth annual Ride Out For Prems motorcycle tour of Ireland saw a fleet of SsangYong SUV angel vehicles supporting over 30 charitable motorcyclists as they travelled across the country delivering life-saving equipment for prematurely born babies.

Following months of fundraising, the challenge began on Thursday, April 24 at a meeting point on the M50. The fleet visited hospitals in Dublin, Waterford, Drogheda and Galway before returning on Dublin on Sunday 27.

They were delivering over e100,000 worth of life-saving equipment for prematurely born babies that the bikers and their supporters raised money for earlier in the year.

Joe Harris, the CEO of SsangYong Motors Ireland, said:

“We are proud to support such a worthy cause. The fundraising has surpassed all expectations.

“Countless lives will be saved as a direct result of these determined and generous bikers and it was an honour to offer our support vehicles to them as they journeyed across the country.

Irish Premature Babies is an entirely voluntary-based charity. Support was provided by AXA Insurance, Peter Mark, Radio Nova, SsangYong Motors Ireland, Hogs and Heifers Bar & Grill and Honda and KTM M50 Retail.
