Peugeot increases 2008 production
Dublin People 05 Apr 2014PEUGOT has announced plans for a further increase in production of the award-winning Peugeot 2008, as the brand strives to meet a continued growth in demand for the popular compact crossover across Europe.

Launched in spring 2013, Peugeot has fulfilled 120,000 orders to date, but demand continues to outstrip supply. A fourth increase in output will now reach 860 production units per day and will require an extra half night shift.
The Peugeot 2008 is produced exclusively at Peugeot’s Mulhouse plant. Awarded the
“Guaranteed French Origin
? label in September 2013, it is the only vehicle in its category to offer a Grip Control technology, a system that improves traction.
It was awarded a five-star rating in Euro NCAP tests and presented with Car of the Year prizes in Ireland, Italy, Spain, France, Poland and Turkey.
Winner of the Irish Small Car of the Year 2014 award, the 2008 is available in Ireland from e18,595 plus delivery and comes with a five year warranty as standard.
With a choice of efficient petrol and diesel engines, the compact crossover is perfect for town driving, yet at home on country roads.
It offers customers an innovative cockpit designed around a small steering wheel and a quality, spacious interior all in a compact, stylish package.
The 2008 was winner of the Irish Small Car of the Year 2014 award.
