VW extends free tax and insurance offer
Dublin People 19 May 2012Volkswagen has extended its free motor tax and insurance offer on any new VW car purchased through May and June.

Originally launched in April, it has proved to be a big success with an average saving of e495. Volkswagen has decided to extend the offer to celebrate being number one in the market for the month of April.
John Donegan, Head of Sales and Marketing for Volkswagen Ireland, expects a lot of interest in dealerships around Ireland.
“This is a no-brainer for Irish motorists,
? he said.
“Motor tax and insurance is always a considerable cost factor for consumers when they consider purchasing a car. We are taking the pain of that cost away for 12 months and allowing them to focus on their car choice without having to scrutinise their already stretched budgets.
?
Any customer who chooses a new Volkswagen model from May through to the end of June will have their car insurance included free of charge for 12 months, underwritten by Allianz PLC and also have their motor tax paid for the year.
Customers can choose from a range of Volkswagen models including the recently launched up! city car, the stylish new CC and luxurious Touareg SUV.
“We think that this represents an outstanding offer to the Irish consumer, who at this stage has been battered by the amount of charges they have faced in 2012,
? Mr Donegan said.
“Now, if they buy a Volkswagen, at least some of their outgoings are covered by us. Plus, given that we have some of the cleanest cars available on the Irish market, with the greatest residual values, buying a new Volkswagen has seldom looked like a better investment.
?
Competitive finance packages are also available for Irish motorists through Volkswagen Bank. The Volkswagen up! is available from just
?¬99 per month, the Polo from just
?¬149 per month, the Golf from just
?¬199 per month and the Jetta from just
?¬199 per month.
