Seat Ireland teams up with Shamrock Rovers

Dublin People 09 Dec 2011

SEAT Ireland and Shamrock Rovers FC have announced
that the motor company will be the title sponsor of the club for the 2012
season.

The deal reflects the brand’s global soccer platform
and Seat, which already works with Shamrock Rovers’ midfielder Stephen Rice as
a brand ambassador, has extended its support to the full squad.

Woodies DIY is continuing its support of the club and
said they would work together with Shamrock Rovers and Seat to ensure their
continued success.

Shamrock Rovers FC is the most successful club in the
history of the League of Ireland. Guided by manager Michael O’Neill, it is
currently completing one of its best ever seasons, becoming the first ever
Irish club to qualify for the UEFA Europa League group stages along with
claiming its 17th League of Ireland title.

As part of the sponsorship Seat and Shamrock Rovers
unveiled the new Shamrock Rovers’ jersey embellished with the Seat logo on the
front and the Woodies DIY logo on the back. Shamrock Rovers will also receive a
branded Shamrock Rovers’ Seat Leon, which will be displayed at Tallaght Stadium
before key home games, two Seat Exeos and a Seat Exeo ST.

The Seat Shamrock Rovers fleet will be distributed
between players and club representatives who will have the opportunity to drive
around in style.

Speaking of the Shamrock Rovers sponsorship, Lorenzo
Heller, Director of Seat Ireland, said:

“Seat is a huge supporter of soccer on
a global scale, so it is fitting that we are the title sponsors of such a
prestigious football club. We are very pleased to be backing Seat ambassador
Stephen Rice and his club Shamrock Rovers for what looks to be a very exciting
new season.

Shamrock Rovers Club Chairman Jonathan Roche added:

“We are delighted to welcome Seat to the Shamrock Rovers club. We hope this
partnership continues for many years to come, and helps the continued success
of the club at all levels including the schoolboy section, the new women’s team
and of course our senior squad, which has been so successful this season. We
are also delighted to continue to work together with Woodies DIY, who have
supported the club for the past 14 years.

Ray Colman, Woodie’s DIY Chief Executive, said:

“Woodies DIY is proud of the 14 year partnership with Shamrock Rovers and we
have given our full support through both the good times and the difficult
times. Woodies looks forward to continuing this journey and to give our support
to Shamrock Rovers as they do battle on future domestic and European fronts.
