SINGER/SONGWRITER, Fauve Chapman, from Portmarnock, and pop/rock band, The Boxing Plot, from Dublin, were two of the lucky 10 acts to secure a recording session with music producer Rob Kirwan last week in Future Sounds recording studio, South Great George’s Street.

The Budweiser Future Sounds of Irish Music project received almost 1,000 entries via the Budweiser Facebook page.

Fauve and

‘The Boxing Plot’ were chosen as two of 10 unsigned acts from all around Ireland to be given the opportunity to spend a day each in a purpose built studio and have an original song produced, mixed and mastered by Rob Kirwan.

It was an incredible experience for the artists to learn from such a renowned music expert.

Fauve has had a lot of experience performing on Irish music competitions

‘You’re a Star’ and

‘The Voice’ but has since strived to find her own sound and has begun writing her own songs such as

‘All of Me’ which she recorded and mastered with Rob Kirwan last week.

Fauve has been singing since she was six-years-old. After spending a lot of time growing up in Lanzarote, she gained a lot of experience performing which lead to her entering

‘The Voice of Ireland’. In that competition Fauve was chosen by Sharon Corr to be in her final six which meant she got to perform live on RTE.

Rob, who has worked as a sound engineer, mixer and producer with artists such as U2, PJ Harvey, Editors, Soulwax, Gary Numan and more recently Delorentos, BellX1 and the Depeche Mode album

‘Delta Machine’, worked with the acts to unlock their sounds during the recording sessions.

“The Budweiser Future Sounds of Irish Music project is a great opportunity for Irish unsigned acts to take a step forward, produce a great track and get noticed,

? he said.

“Many artists don’t know how to make a really good recording so I am taking the time to listen to their music, help unlock their sound and ensure the best possible track is produced on the day.

The Boxing Plot is a four-piece pop/rock band from Dublin who formed in 2009. By the end of 2012, the band were named

‘Phantom’s Next ICON’ as well as mentioned in John Barker’s list of bands to watch in 2013.
