Seascapes to feature in Baldoyle exhibition
Dublin People 01 Dec 2012A NEW portfolio of Dublin’s seascapes, produced by experienced landscape photographer Gerry Dwyer, was launched last Saturday (December 1) at an exhibition in Baldoyle Library.

The portfolio contains high quality prints of many of Dublin’s coastal locations that will be well known to those who love the North Dublin seascape. Red Island, Silver Beach, Malahide, Howth Head and many more areas are included.
A strong feature of the work showcases Gerry’s many years of photographing the Irish landscape to produce images that capture those fleeting moments when light and mood conspire to show the countryside at its best.
Gerry said the North Dublin coast is a unique landscape.
“Given that it is on the doorstep of the capital city and over one million people, including visitors, it is a tremendous free resource that, almost in its entirety, is accessible to walkers, nature and sports lovers,
? he stated.
“For a photographer or an artist it is a tremendous source of inspiration and material.
“Getting out on our beaches or cliff paths is a real antidote to the pressures and stresses of the times we live in and I hope that in showing this exhibition and the new online gallery, that I have done some justice to this beautiful natural landscape that is a real Dublin gem.

The exhibition runs until Friday, December 7. It also marks the launch of www.irelandswildlandscape.com, an online gallery of work from the exhibition, as well as Gerry’s other recent images from all parts of the Irish landscape
