MUSIC: Rodrigo y Gabriela ride high on back of new album

Rodrigo y Gabriela have announced a new Autumn tour that will include an Olympia Theatre performance on September 19.

With new album ‘Mettavolution’ released to much critical acclaim, Rodrigo y Gabriela are have also embarked on a huge US tour with dates running throughout the Spring and Summer, before returning to the UK and Ireland in September. 

Following their recent live on Jimmy Kimmel appearance, the pair also performed on a number of UK TV shows including Andrew Marr, Sunday Brunch and the One Show. 

 Three years in the making, Mettavolution brings together Rod and Gab’s passionate interest in Buddhism, the history of human evolution and the liberation of the potential we have as a species.

Conceived and composed in their Mexican studio, the album was road-tested in South America before more fine tuning resulted in their latest brilliant work.
