Further details and the complete itinerary are available at www.imaginedragonsmusic.com/tour. The American rock band from Las Vegas, Nevada, consisting of lead vocalist Dan Reynolds, lead guitarist Wayne Sermon, bassist and keyboardist Ben McKee, and drummer Daniel Platzman, first gained exposure in 2012 with the releases of their debut studio album ‘Night Visions’ and its first single ‘It’s Time’.
Billboard placed them at the top of their ‘Year In Rock’ rankings for 2013, and named them their ‘Breakthrough Band of 2013’. Rolling Stone named their single ‘Radioactive’ from ‘Night Visions’ the “biggest rock hit of the year” while MTV called them “the year’s biggest breakout band”.
Imagine Dragons’ third studio album, Evolve that was released on June 23 has already attained global success with the highest first week streams for an alternative rock band ever.
The album has achieved Platinum certification in five countries and Gold certification in an additional 12 since its release. They’ve also amassed over one billion Spotify streams to date.
In the US, where Evolve is the only rock album to be certified Gold this year, the lead single ‘Believer’ stayed on the numbner one spot at Alternative radio for 12 weeks.
This feat managed to break a previously held 13-year record at the format for number of spins.
Follow up single ‘Thunder’ has garnered over 331 million streams to date.
