We’re still Number 1 in Dublin!

DUBLIN People Media Group, publishers of Northside and Southside People, has retained its position as the capital’s most read local newspapers, new readership figures confirm.

The latest TGI (Target Group Index) 2016 figures, released on September 28, show that our three weekly editions – Northside People (east), Northside People (west) and Southside People – are still the number one local newspapers in Dublin.
Significantly, the TGI survey found that a whopping 329,000 Dubliners read one of our titles every week. We are the only local Dublin newspaper with official TGI research figures. This helps to give us valuable insights into what our readers and loyal advertisers want from us.
Group sales manager with Dublin People, Conor Mahon, welcomed the latest TGI figures, which he believed would encourage new and existing advertisers to do business with the three titles.
“The past number of years have been challenging for businesses and we do not want to take our advertisers for granted,” Mr Mahon said. “We think that investing in TGI research helps inspire confidence in our newspapers and gives our clients a certain amount of added value.”
He added: “In this digital era, it is more important than ever that we can stand over the credibility of our printed offering. A breakdown of TGI’s figures shows that Northside People (east) and Northside People (west) have a combined readership of 178,000 every week; Southside People has a weekly readership of 165,000.
The three titles have a combined circulation of 120,000 each week, of which over 80,000 are delivered directly to homes and businesses with the remaining 38,000 available for self-selection at pick-up points across the capital.
