DJ David Holmes to play on Lost Friday

DJ DAVID Holmes will be kicking off the third Hennessy Lost Fridays in the RHA on October 7 with a five-hour set.

The event will also play host to a one box record fair and Hennessy mixology sessions art projections.

Tattoo artist, Feca Lanfredi from Dublin Ink will work on a live torso tattoo installation on the night that is inspired by Hennessy by Scott Campbell.

Showcasing some of Ireland’s top creative talent with music, experimental art and unique performances, as well as delicious Hennessy cocktails, the third Hennessy Lost Friday of the year is curated by ChoiceCuts, which also celebrates its 15th birthday on the night.

Having burst onto the electronic music scene in the 90s, David Holmes, the two-time winner of the Ivor Novello award, is now most widely known for his work on movie soundtracks including Ocean’s Eleven, Out of Sight and Hunger.

Recently he has scored the first two series of BBC’s The Fall, and is currently working with Noel Gallagher on an upcoming album.

David will perform rare five-hour DJ set for ChoiceCuts to celebrate the release of his new compilation, ‘Late Night Tales’, at Hennessy Lost Friday in the beautiful RHA gallery with a visual suite to match from ChoiceCuts/Practice&Theory.

As well as the record fair, the mixology sessions and art projections, tattoo artist, Feca Lanfredi’s live torso tattoo installation will be the latest collaboration for Hennessy’s Very Special Limited Edition series.

Works by artists Paul Gregg, Maria McKinney, Diana Copperwhite and Kevin Miller, bring an unusual mix of science and technology inspired installations and contemporary painting as the backdrop to the evening’s activities.

Tours through the gallery take place throughout the event, hosted by the RHA Director, Patrick T Murphy.
