Cast willl play Dublin in December

BRITPOP legends Cast have announced details of their latest tour that will showcase their brand new album due for release later this year.

The band will be live at the Academy in Dublin on Friday, December 9. They were formed in 1992 by John Power (vocals, guitar) and Peter Wilkinson (backing vocals, bass) after Power left The La’s and Wilkinson’s former band Shack had split.

Following early line-ups with different guitarists and drummers, Liam ‘Skin’ Tyson (guitar) and Keith O’Neill (drums) joined in 1993. In 2012, Cast reunited with original producer John Leckie (Stone Roses, Radiohead, The Fall) to release a new album ‘Troubled Times’, their first studio release in over 10 years.

To celebrate the 20th anniversary of the classic album ‘All Change’, Cast united with the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra for a special live performance in December 2015 for a sold out show at the historic Liverpool Philharmonic Hall. Due to popular demand an extra show was added in February of this year.

Earlier this year, Cast released a brand new song ‘Baby Blue Eyes’ – the first track to be made available from the as yet un-named new album.

Good to have you back, lads!
