MEET gorgeous new mummy, Cinnamon, who came into the DSPCA on July 24, after being found suffering from multiple puncture wounds all over her body and very heavily pregnant.

Cinnamon received immediate veterinary treatment on her wounds and underwent a complete check over.

As she was so heavily pregnant DSPCA staff decided it was best for her to be put straight into foster care. Sean, her new foster dad collected her last Tuesday knowing she could have puppies at any time.

On Wednesday afternoon Cinnamon started giving birth to the first of her puppies and after nearly 15 hours finally finished with the ‘Dotey Dozen’ of four girls and eight boys.

Cinnamon, with the help of Sean, is doing a fantastic job and looks like a different dog than the one that came in weeks ago.

The DSPCA want to thank Sean for looking after Cinnamon and her babies.
