Fingallians welcome GAA President to their club

GAA President Aogán � Fearghail visited Fingallians GAA Club last Saturday week (July 25) to reopen their resurfaced all-weather pitch at Lawless Memorial Park, Swords.

An tUachtarán � Fearghail and his wife, Frances, were welcomed with a Guard of Honour provided by the juvenile section.
They were introduced to the Ard Comhairle of the club and then to various club celebrities including ex-Dublin player Kieran Duff, Paralympian Catherine Walsh, former Fingallians and Roscommon player Harry Keegan, Hurling All-Star Dermot Vaughan, current Dublin senior ladies’ footballers Sinéad Nà Fhionnagáin, Fiona Hudson and Emer Nà hÃ?afa along with the previous club chairpersons and local club characters. The President and his wife were then shown a historic photo display which charts the long history of the club since its foundation in 1884 to the present day.
The club’s Scór section then put on a performance of traditional music, Irish dancing and singing.
