Fans’ generosity is music to Irish language band’s ears

SEO Linn, the Irish language band have broken a record to raise

?¬50,000 in 30 days.
Earlier this year, the band called upon fans to help them source the money to pursue their dreams with Irish music.
Now, Cathal Ruaidh, Keith O’Briain, Daithà Ruaidh, Kev Shortall, Conor O’Móra and Stiofan O’Feareal have successfully raised
?¬50,000 in record time to help them produce an album and bring the Irish language and culture overseas.
Focusing all their energy on the Irish language, the band are now ready to make Seo Linn their full time job with thanks to the huge support from fans and supporters.
Firstly, they intend setting up a company that will provide music workshops for teenagers through the medium of Irish. These will incorporate the various elements of music production and performance into a polished, tried and tested workshop which is fun for teenagers to get involved in.
Lead singer with Seo Linn, Stiofán, said:
“We’re overwhelmed with the generosity of the public and I don’t think we can fully express how thankful we are but I guess now we’ve a lot of rewards to get working on in return for the donations.

The band have a long journey ahead of them but with backing from the public they hope to make their dream a reality.
Stiofán added:
“We’ve really enjoyed the past two years but now we’re really looking forward to the next challenge.
“We are extremely thankful to the public for making that happen for us.
