TERENCE Flanagan TD has been offically selected to contest the general election in Dublin Bay North for Renua Ireland.

Deputy Flanagan, a former member of Fine Gael, said he was delighted to be running for the new party headed by Lucinda Creighton.

“I have represented the residents of Dublin North East, now Dublin Bay North, at local and national level for the past eight years,

? he said.

“I am very excited to be a member of Renua Ireland and in a position to offer my constituents a real change in Irish politics.

“We passionately believe that our policies will improve the quality of each citizen’s life. We can build a better society and restore people’s trust in the politicians that they elect.

Deputy Flanagan said he has an interesting perspective on how politics works having been in opposition and in Government as part of the Fine Gael Party, an Independent and now a member of Renua Ireland.

“I am confident that Renua Ireland, as a smaller political party, is better placed to focus on and develop policies that will positively impact on people’s lives, including my own constituents in Dublin Bay North,

? he added.

“The General Election is fast approaching and I look forward to continuing to meet with my constituents to discuss any concerns that they may have and to discuss Renua Ireland’s position with them.
