THREE architectural projects associated with Dún Laoghaire Rathdown County Council have been nominated for a prestigious RIAI Award.

The dlr LexIcon, the Dalkey Heritage Centre and Town Hall and the Blackrock Further Education Institute containing the refurbished Public Library are all in the running for a People’s Choice Award.
Members of the public can vote for their favourite building until June 17.
The dlr LexIcon is a bold new addition to the town of Dún Laoghaire that opened to the public in December 2014.
The Dalkey Heritage Centre and Town Hall is located in the centre of Dalkey Village which is a Heritage Town and Conservation Area.
The original castle building is a protected structure, and together with the adjoining graveyard, is a Recorded National Monument.
The expanded Blackrock Library forms part of a third level educational complex on the site of the Town Hall, Carnegie Library and VEC College in Blackrock that has been redeveloped in conjunction with the Dún Laoghaire Education & Training Board.
The RIAI is encouraging the public to vote for their favourite building online at www.riai.ie, or on Facebook.
