Balbriggan school is on the way

PLANNING permission has been granted for the construction of a 450-pupil post primary school at St George’s National School, Balbriggan.

The plans include a physical education facility, a special needs unit and support teaching spaces and a phase two extension to accommodate 300 additional pupils.

Cllr Malachy Quinn (SF) welcomed the development.

“With the growth in the school going population in the north west of the town in the last 10 years, this development of educational facilities is long overdue,

? he stated.

“The completion of the Castlemill Road in conjunction with this project will enhance the area for its many residents. School building projects are the key to developing our local towns and villages.
