Dublin footballer Michael takes on a new position

THE Dublin senior footballer Michael Darragh MacAuley paid a visit to Our Lady’s Children’s Hospital, Crumlin recently to meet some of the patients in his new role as an official ambassador for the fundraising arm of the hospital.

As part of his new role Michael is also lending his support to CMRF Crumlin’s
‘Give It Up’ campaign.
CMRF Crumlin is calling on the public to give up something in order to help raise much- needed funds for Our Lady’s Children’s Hospital and the National Children’s Research Centre.
From a morning cappuccino, to that indulgent afternoon bar of chocolate, simply choose a guilty treat or habit to give up and use some of the money saved to donate to CMRF Crumlin

Proceeds from the
‘Give It Up’ campaign will go towards the funding of new capital projects and cutting edge equipment as well as pioneering paediatric medical research at the National Children’s Research Centre.
This in turn offers the very best chance of recovery to the 130,000 sick children that come through the doors of the hospital annually.
Commenting on his new role as an ambassador for CMRF Crumlin, Michael said:
“It is a real privilege to be in a position to help the children and families of Our Lady’s Children’s Hospital, Crumlin as part of my role as an ambassador for CMRF Crumlin.
“It was a fantastic experience meeting all the children in the hospital who are unbelievably brave, as are their families.
“I’m also delighted to get involved in the
‘Give It Up’ for Crumlin campaign. It has been a brilliant campaign and the funds raised will have a major impact on the lives of these children.
